Dedusting Glove Box

The glovebox is a laboratory equipment that fills the chamber with high-purity inert gas, circulates and filters O2, H2O, organic gases and other substances. It is also called vacuum glovebox, inert gas protection box, etc. The main function is to remove O2, H2O and organic gas. It is widely used in ultra-pure environments without O2, H2O and dust, such as lithium ion batteries and materials, semiconductors, super capacitors, special lamps, laser welding, brazing, material synthesis, OLED, MOCVD, etc., but also biological applications, such as anaerobic bacteria culture, cell hypoxia culture, etc.

Principle:

The working gas in the glovebox is between the chamber and the purification column (H2O and O2 adsorber), and it is closed circulated through pipes, circulation blowers, etc. under the control and monitoring of PLC. When the working gas circulates through the purification column, its moisture and oxygen are adsorbed and then returned to the chamber. As the cycle time passes, the H2O and O2 content of the working gas in the chamber will gradually decrease and eventually reach the index of less than 1 ppm. The purification column will saturate after a certain period of cycle, and can be regenerated and reused.

Double O-ring Sealed Flange Viewing Window:

The viewing window flange is made from a single piece of thick stainless steel plate, laser-cut into a rectangular ring shape for high overall strength and resistance to impact and deformation. The entire flange viewing window and annular sealing groove are machined in one piece using a large gantry machining center, creating a double dovetail sealing groove. The flatness of the sealing support surface and the bottom surface of the sealing groove is <0.05 mm/m.

The flange viewing window and the box body are joined using a continuous cooling welding method. The welds are strictly inspected for defects using non-destructive testing, ensuring no leaks at the welding points.

A double-groove vacuum isolation sealing method is employed, using two integral annular "O" rings embedded in the integral annular groove.  Both the inner and outer sealing rings are seamless. The vacuum between the double layers of seals effectively prevents the diffusion of H2O, O2, and N2 molecules from the air into the glove box and the diffusion of toxic molecules out of the glove box, achieving a leak-free effect. The box body leakage rate is <0.0005 vol%/h, achieving a leak-free result.
